How to get to Rwanda: Getting to Rwanda is by flight or by road through the Land borders.
By Flight.
Rwanda has currently one entry point by air through the Kanombe Kigali International airport, where all the major airlines land.
The Kigali International airport is just close to Kigali city, 15 minutes’ drive from Kigali city center, where the major hotels are located.
By Road.
Rwanda can be accessed through a number of border posts, which are fully operational.
In border with Uganda, 3 border posts served Rwanda and Uganda, thus Cyanika border, close to Volcanoes National Park and Mgahinga National Park, Gatuna border and Gakitumba border
In border with Tanzania, Rwanda, the two countries is served with one border post, thus Rusumo border post
In border with Burundi, both countries can be accessed through Kanyaru border post as the major border post
On the border with DR Congo, both countries served with two border posts, one at Rubavu – Rusizi and another at Goma – Gisenyi.
Therefore, you can access Rwanda easily either by road or by flight.
For the visa purposes, Rwanda issues visas either online or upon arrival at the airport or at point of border access.
